Normally I wear size 10 so I went with 11. With my waders on and with normal socks the boots feel a bit large in circumference but okay on length. When the weather got cold I added some wool socks and was glad I went 1 size up. The boots are light weight and provide good support. They come with two soles, rubber and felt. Let me tell you the rubber soles stink on slippery river coble stones! I barely made it out of the river without falling on my keester. If you are like me and love to read reviews about products before purchasing them, please try to take a few minutes and leave quick, honest reviews...To keep it short and to the point, these are by far the most comfortable boots I have purchased. They are pretty lightweight and dry really quick. They are very well built, as well. I am working on a degree in fish biology, and am constantly out in the water; a good comfortable boot is invaluable. I also like the fact that I can swap out soles when needed and, granted they are still around in years to come, I can can replace the soles easily and quickly when they wear out. They clean up fast and thoroughly. I have not owned them long enough to see how well they stand up to the chemicals and hot water that we use to dissenfect them, though. Great wading boots. Love the fact I can change up the soles of these with the new omnitrax 3.0 to match the terrain of the river I am fishing. Boots are very well made and very light dry and wet.***UPDATE 3-26-12*** I have had my Redside boots for a bit over a year and noticed that the pull tab on the back (to aid in pulling the boots on) has begun to rip away from the boot. So I contacted the manufacturer via e-mail describing the problem. I got an reply e-mail within a few hours asking for a picture showing the ripped boot. I sent the pic and within an hour received a phone call from their customer service department giving me a return number so I can send the boots back for a replacement. I couldn't be happier with the customer service. After wearing the boots for a year, I am happy with them. They are light weight and comfortable. I normally wear a size 10 tennis shoe but went with a size 11 in these boots and they fit very well. |
